Join Rossignol and Extremely Canadian for the fifth annual We Rise day of skiing, camaraderie, Rossignol ski demos and more!
Join us for a fun, educational day of guided instruction and coaching with lift line priority. We’ve combined Extremely Canadian’s top female guides and Rossignol ambassadors for the ultimate shred day. If you are looking to improve your freeride, off-piste and steep skiing skills and to meet other like-minded outdoor snow-loving folks – this is for you! Our goal is to encourage people to get out of their comfort zone, push their limits and enjoy being outside on snow. To redefine their boundaries.
WE RISE with Extremely Canadian includes a full day of skiing with Extremely Canadian’s top female guides, guided instruction and coaching, lift line priority, lunch, gifts and prizes! Packages with discounted lift pass are also available. We will have a limited number of Rossignol demos available so do let us know if you are interested in trying the gear.

*This event is for all women, non-binary folks, and gender non-conforming people. This is an open and welcoming space for those who are comfortable in spaces that center on the experiences of women; we just want people to enjoy skiing and snowboarding as much as we do!

All participants will be required to sign a waiver for each adventure; please review the document thoroughly prior to signing.
Ability Level:
Extremely Canadian is geared towards adventurous advanced-intermediate to expert skiers/riders. This event is for both skiers and snowboarders! We don’t mix skiers and riders on the mountain, but we meet up for lunch. If you can ski/ride an un-groomed “Black Diamond” run at your home hill, then you belong with us! Skiers/riders are placed in small groups of similar ability, combined with a serious amount of vertical, guaranteed improvement, tired legs, make for an unforgettable ski/ride experience.

8:00AM: Welcome We Rise event participants at the Gibbons MOUNTIAN CLUB. Check-in, sign waivers, get gear, meet the Extremely Canadian team and prepare for the day as needed.
8:30AM: Load Gondola.
8:50AM to 12:00PM: Warm-up runs and separator run followed by introduction and progression in the off piste terrain. Priming your legs for the goods.
12:00PM: Meet at Glacier Lodge for lunch. Subject to change by coach and dependent on conditions.
1:00PM - 3:00PM: Guided instruction with a continued focus on coaching technique and tactics for steeper, off-piste terrain. Finish the day with a We Rise gift bag and prizes from Extremely Canadian and Rossignol.

LEVEL 4 + / Advanced Intermediate:
Able to link parallel turns with pole plant. Can ski groomed black runs, and venturing into the off-piste. Would like to explore more varied terrain.
LEVEL 5 / Advanced:
Able to ride/ski strong parallel turns with a pole plant on black and easy ungroomed black runs. Learning, short turns, off piste, moguls, powder and more difficult terrain.*
LEVEL 6 / Experts:
Enjoy the challenge of skiing/riding in control in all conditions and terrain and want to refine these skills.* Eats double black runs for breakfast.

Meeting time and Place
Meeting time and place is 8AM at the Gibbons Mountain Club inside the Westin Hotel.
Late Arrival or Departures
Extremely Canadian cannot accept responsibility for travellers inconvenienced by late, diverted, delayed, cancelled, or rescheduled travel arrangements. This also applies to missed connections or transfers. We intend to leave the Carleton Patio for 8:00 AM, there will be a 15 min grace period where we will wait and connect you to the group. If you arrive outside the 15mins, we are not responsible for connecting you to the group or providing a refund/reschedule.
Weather Conditions
Adventure travel involves risk and unpredictable weather conditions. Extremely Canadian does not purport to any guarantee of conditions.
Group Dynamics
We worry less about exact ratios but we endeavour to have a tight match of ability and inclination to provide tons of vertical and mileage while moving quickly and safely through terrain appropriate for the group. Ratios can be between 1:5 but are usually closer to 1:3. If we don’t have a group for you we will work to find another program that matches your ability or provide a full refund.
Payment and Confirmation
All rates are quoted in Canadian currency and are subject to taxes. Full payment is due upon booking. Confirmation is made by email.
Refunds
No refunds will be issued on whole or partially unused portions of packages. No refunds will be issued on day of lesson (medical reasons with a doctor’s note may be an exception).
Rescheduling
In rare instances, we may ask a guest to switch from a clinic or camp that has too few participants. If this happens we will attempt to notify you 24 hours prior to the date. However, we reserve the right to cancel any clinics or camps, for any reason, at any time prior to start. In such a case, refund of any payments received shall constitute full settlement.
Cancellation Policy
We totally understand if your plans change! Here's the scoop on all activities cancellation policy.
Inbounds Day: You will receive a 100% refund or you can reschedule your adventure date up to 48 hrs prior to your activity date. All modification requests must be made within Extremely Canadian’s operating hours by email or phone at least 2 full days prior to your activity date. If you have to cancel within 48h of your activity, we will issue a 50% refund. No refunds will be issued if you have to cancel on the morning of your activity date. A change of dates is considered a cancellation and a re-booking; therefore, cancellation policies apply. Please note that once alterations have been made to your original course dates, refunds will not be allowed.If you are cancelling your activity due to illness/injury within 48hrs, you may be required to present medical documentation to complete the refund.
Insurance
We do not request proof of insurance coverage, but please ensure that you have appropriate coverage to ensure that you are adequately covered for any eventuality. We highly suggest that you purchase trip cancellation insurance to avoid penalties related to a change in plans.
Behaviour Expectations
Guests are expected to behave in an orderly fashion and not to disrupt the enjoyment of other guests or in anyway harm the reputation of Extremely Canadian or its suppliers. Extremely Canadian reserves the right to decline accepting or retaining any guest whose health or actions impede the operation of a clinic or camp or the welfare or enjoyment of fellow guests.
Underage Participants
Group programs are for guests aged 16 and older. All clients 18 & under must sign the safety voucher and wear a helmet.
Waiver
You will be required to sign a waiver and release of liability before your first day on the mountain. Below is a copy of the waiver for your review.
