FEBRUARY 11 – 18, 2017.

TRIP DATE: FEBRUARY 11 – 18, 2017.

If you’ve heard all the hype of Japan, but are worried that you won’t get to ski the big boy terrain and scale any huge mountains, then fear no more.  Our Asahidake trip flies into the second largest city in Hokkaido, Asahikawa and carries on from there into the famous Daisetsuzan National Park.

This national park is home to multiple peaks over 2000m and the tallest mountain in Hokkaido, Asahidake.  Perched at the base of this range is the Asahidake Onsen (Japanese for Hot Spring), which is where we’ll make our extra cozy home for the week.

With the big city only an hour away and a number of other lift-accessed resorts with huge snowfall nearby, you will definitely get your fill of culture, famous Asahikawa ramen, and deep Hokkaido pow.

There will be a backcountry portion of this trip where we set out to climb some of the highest peaks in Hokkaido, so be prepared with your own gear, some backcountry knowledge, and a set of lungs. Touring experience will be required for this trip.

For only $4500 CAD, take advantage of our guides’ mountain knowledge to fully explore the incredible terrain that Asahidake has to offer.
