Snow in the Valley and Early opening!
It's almost too much to take. On the same day that Whistler Blackcomb announced they would be turning the lifts a week early due to excellent early season coverage, the skies opened up and dropped a fresh white blanket right down to the valley. Many had been wondering when our little town would exchange it's autumn wardrobe of brown, red and orange earth tones for the far simpler winter coat of all white, all the time! Well it's here, and not a moment too soon. Anticipation around here has reached a fever pitch, and the early opening announcement yesterday combined with the new snowfall was enough to make even the crustiest old schoolers tingle with excitement.
If you're lucky enough to be in Whistler this weekend, stop by the office for a chat. Although, there probably won't be anybody here. Better off looking for us in the lift line bright and early saturday morning.... and sunday...and monday...and tuesday.....and so on.
